Dale Carruthers, a Canadian self taught artist, creates a true to life reflection of our past with his detailed city and landscapes.
The youngest of a family of ten, Dale was born on a family farm in the small community of Estey’s Bridge, just north of Fredericton, New Brunswick.
His early schooling (1970-1974) took place in one of the few remaining New Brunswick country one room school houses, to which occasionally Dale would ride his pony.
He began painting through his years at Fredericton High School, and this rapidly developed into a means of financially supporting his University of New Brunswick education.
It is evident from his unique style and accuracy that Dale has a genuine passion for preserving our heritage. As a reminder of days past, he shares with you this fifteen painting series of historical Atlantic Canada.
